LUna traiettoria musicale capace di evolversi e trasformarsi senza sosta, mettendo in relazione generazioni, geografie e linguaggi differenti. Dal 18 giugno al 2 settembre, il Locus Festival torna a ridefinire i confini dell'ascolto condiviso con la sua ventiduesima edizione. Quest'anno la manifestazione si sviluppa attorno a un faro concettuale di rara potenza, mutuato dal leggendario Miles Davis nel centenario della sua nascita: “Don’t play what's there. Play what's not there”. Non suonare ciò che si vede, ma ciò che ancora deve prendere forma. Con questo spirito visionario, il festival intreccia una narrazione coerente tra pesi massimi della scena internazionale e il meglio della produzione italiana, il tutto immerso nelle cornici più affascinanti del territorio pugliese.
Il cartellone estero si preannuncia monumentale, spaziando attraverso epoche e generi con esclusive e progetti speciali. Il genio eclettico dei Talking Heads, David Byrne, porta a Bari il suo nuovo progetto "Who is The Sky?", mentre lo storico chitarrista degli Smiths, Johnny Marr, regalerà un set antologico tra i filari della Tenuta Bocca di Lupo a Minervino Murge. Per gli amanti del progressive, il supergruppo BEAT, composto da pilastri come Steve Vai, Adrian Belew, Tony Levin e Danny Carey, celebrerà la trilogia anni '80 dei King Crimson. L'intimità al pianoforte del premio EGOT John Legend a Ostuni si contrappone all'energia rock degli Skunk Anansie e al punk-hip hop dei Kneecap a Molfetta. Completano il quadro internazionale il basso di Thundercat, il jazz londinese degli Ezra Collective e il tocco elettronico dei belgi 2manydjs e del dandy francese Sébastien Tellier.
La musica italiana risponde con una varietà di sfumature che unisce storici maestri e nuove generazioni creative. L'epilogo di settembre sarà memorabile grazie alla reunion dei C.S.I. nella formazione originale a trent'anni da Linea Gotica. Attesissimi anche i Subsonica, che festeggiano tre decenni di electro-rock con il nuovo album Terre Rare, e Vinicio Capossela, pronto a riproporre integralmente il suo seminale Il Ballo di San Vito. Una data unica vedrà salire sul palco la scuola romana di ieri e di oggi con Daniele Silvestri e Fulminacci. Spazio poi al pop urban di Frah Quintale, al misterioso ritorno de I Cani di Niccolò Contessa e alle performance di Ditonellapiaga, Mannarino, Cosmo con un live all'alba e gli intimissimi set acustici di Iosonouncane e Alberto Ferrari dei Verdena.
Il Locus Festival si conferma un'esperienza diffusa che valorizza il patrimonio storico e naturale della regione. Locorotondo, con Masseria Ferragnano e Piazza Aldo Moro, rimane il cuore pulsante delle calde serate agostane. Accanto ai palchi ormai storici di Bari, Alberobello, Molfetta e Ostuni, l'edizione 2026 accoglie tre nuovi palcoscenici suggestivi come l'enigmatico e ottagonale Castel del Monte, le affascinanti Grotte di Castellana e il Parco di Santa Maria di Agnano per il concerto all'alba di Ferragosto.

Locus Festival 2026: The Sound of the Invisible Illuminates Puglia
A musical trajectory capable of endless evolution and transformation, connecting different generations, geographies, and artistic languages. From June 18th to September 2nd, Locus Festival returns to redefine the boundaries of shared listening with its twenty-second edition. This year, the event develops around a powerfully resonant conceptual beacon, borrowed from the legendary Miles Davis on the centenary of his birth: “Don’t play what's there. Play what's not there”. An exhortation to not just play what is visible, but what has yet to take shape. With this visionary spirit, the festival weaves a coherent narrative between heavyweights of the international scene and the very best of Italian music, all immersed in the most fascinating settings of the Apulian territory.
The international lineup promises to be monumental, spanning eras and genres with exclusive dates and special projects. The eclectic genius of Talking Heads, David Byrne, brings his new project "Who is The Sky?" to Bari, while the historic guitarist of The Smiths, Johnny Marr, will deliver an anthological set among the vineyards of Tenuta Bocca di Lupo in Minervino Murge. Italian music responds with a rich variety of nuances that unites historic masters and new creative generations. September's epilogue will be memorable thanks to the reunion of C.S.I. in their original lineup, thirty years after the landmark album Linea Gotica. Highly anticipated are also Subsonica, celebrating three decades of electro-rock with their new album Terre Rare, and Vinicio Capossela, ready to perform his seminal Il Ballo di San Vito in its entirety. A unique double-bill date will bring the Roman songwriting school of yesterday and today to the stage with Daniele Silvestri and Fulminacci. Plenty of space will also be dedicated to the urban pop of Frah Quintale, the mysterious return of Niccolò Contessa's project I Cani, and performances by Ditonellapiaga, Mannarino, Cosmo with a sunrise live set, alongside the deeply intimate acoustic sets of Iosonouncane and Alberto Ferrari of Verdena.
Locus Festival confirms its status as a widespread experience that enhances the historical and natural heritage of the region. Locorotondo, with Masseria Ferragnano and Piazza Aldo Moro, remains the beating heart of the warm August nights. Alongside the now-historic stages of Bari, Alberobello, Molfetta, and Ostuni, the 2026 edition welcomes three suggestive new settings: the enigmatic and octagonal Castel del Monte, the fascinating Grotte di Castellana, and the Santa Maria di Agnano Archaeological Park for a special dawn concert on Ferragosto.
